WHAT DRIVES ME? Well, I think it’s that feeling that you can turn any idea into something real. Into an experience. Into a film.

Gear can’t replace the feel, the story, the light. That’s why I Iove to work in small teams, to be flexible, to inhale the atmosphere, to act on the situation.

But… always with a certain style, with an aesthetic approach. With the suiting music, a good rhythm, making every film a little bit LARGER THAN LIFE.

As long as I can think of, I‘ve been directing, shooting, editing, writing and composing music, because pictures, music, stories - everything is linked together.

I believe that A CRACKING GOOD STORY NEEDS TO HAVE A UNIQUE SIGNATURE.

In 2001 I’ve been founding my production company and agency STEREOSCREEN that breathes this approach and the passion for telling true stories.

WE BURN TO SPARK THE FIRE IN OTHERS.

My short film "24 HOURS in 19500 FRAMES“ about the 24 Hours Nürburgring was a turning point in my career. BBC-Top Gear gave me the nickname "Car Telly Guru“ and since then I’ve been working for major brands like BMW, Porsche or Cadillac.

As consequence to this web hit, I decided to take the next step and directed my first feature length documentary. "24hours – ONE TEAM. ONE TARGET“. It has been running in selected cinemas in Germany and the USA. For me it became more a baby than a film, as I have been deeply involved from script to screening.

Personally I think that feature film is the supreme discipline for a filmmaker.

IT’S LIKE A DRUG. You have to do it again. That’s why I directed my second feature film "ADRENALIN" about the motorsport history of BMW in 2014 and just finished my latest documentary "NO LIMITS".

Travelling, enjoying the sights, meeting people, learning from them, dipping into their lifes, absorbing the atmosphere of special places on this planet: That was the starting point for one of my favourite projects that I called “The Beat of the World”.

NEW YORK, RIO, TOKYO. These were the first stops. But it’s an ongoing process. We’ve recently been visiting magic Marrakesh. And Havana will be next in the line.

Today I’m really thankful to live from what I love and to work with people and companies that give me and my team creative freedom to forge something extraordinary:

FILMS THAT TOUCH THE HEART.
